Going Through the Motions

I dream of sedation

and lucid sleep.

To takeaway the pain I keep,

In every cell

It throbs away

a discomfort, I have no words to say

But.

The hardest pain of it all

is, as I lie, my body torn

I’m void of help

or any plan,

medical science owned by MAN.

Disowned me once,

twice and again

eradicating hopes bright flame.

With fire extinguished

I live in fear,

just watching those that I hold dear,

live and laugh

by my side

Whilst I just breathe to stay alive.
